L.R. Falk Wildlife Area / Cedar River Greenbelt is 250+ acres of hunting along the publicly owned portions of the 4 mile Cedar River Greenbelt Trail. Starting at 1879 Hwy. 9 just west of Osage, there is off-road parking and walk-in access at 4 locations. This area is right along the Cedar River and is very diverse in habitat type ranging from bottom land timber, upland prairie, to upland timber and a restored oak savanna.

This is the headquarters location of Mitchell County Conservation Board and the Mitchell County Nature Center. Public hunting not allowed within 200 yards of these facilities.
