Features

Otranto Wildlife Area is 160 acres of restored native prairie and 20 acres of restored wetland. This is a beautiful area with many different wildlife and plant species. Otranto Wildlife Area is located right on the west side of the Cedar River with opportunities for fishing and hunting. This area is open to public hunting with walk-in access only. This is a very significant area to Mitchell County and the Cedar River. The restored wetland and prairie aid in flood control an also filter nutrient runoff before entering the Cedar River.
